CARA COOKE -- UPRIGHT BASS
Howdy! My name is Cara Cooke. I am a musician living in Austin, Texas.

While I play a variety of music here, I tend to play a great deal of bluegrass.

Over the years I have shared my upright bass work with quite a few bands working around central Texas. Amongst these bands are Fightin' Creek, American Heritage, the Manchaca Allstars, the Ledbetters, and Red Eye.

I am a member of the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), the Central Texas Bluegrass Association (CTBA), the Bay Area Bluegrass Association (BABA), and an alumnus of Camp Bluegrass (South Plains College - Levelland, Tx). [Ask me about my experiences there and I will gladly tell you.]

I am one of the songwriters of American Heritage. I currently play for RedEye, the Manchaca All-stars, and the Blazing Bows. I also occasionally play for Wyldwood, the Ledbetters, and anyone else who needs an extra lead player (harmonica and mandolin), guitar player, or upright bass player. If you wish to contact me, e-mail me at cyberharp(at)lycos.com.
